AMPlified Success: Gigi Wagner

Meet Gigi Wagner, Digital District Manager, and read about her career journey at AMP.

My journey with AMP started in March 2021, after 23 successful years in the hospitality industry. Due to COVID, I ended up at a crossroads in my career and I felt the urge to pivot. Ashley Joyce reached out to me about an opportunity with AMP. After several interviews and a shadow day to learn more about the role, coupled with the fantastic recruiting experience provided by Ashley, I knew that AMP was the company to call home.

The first day of training was intense, but I was so excited to get started on this new venture. My journey over the last few months has been nothing short of FANTASTIC! AMP University has allowed me to be a “student of the game”. This tool is packed with sales tips and strategies that have helped build my confidence with the AMP process. The morning Success Call gives you a daily boost and gets you energized emotionally and mentally to go out into the sales field and focus on helping a small business owner. The AMP fundamentals applied daily along with my determination have yielded results aligned with my goals.

My favorite sales have been the sales that I least expected! My first solo GSV sale was to Bruce at Summer Classics Home in Highland Park, IL. The presentation was far from perfect, but I was able to make him see the benefit of having a beautiful virtual tour of his store. The tour went live on 4/22/21 and already has had 3,711 views so far! That makes me super excited to get out there every day and help another business.

On Gigi’s time at AMP, Rhett Buwalda had this to say:

Introspective, quick-witted, funny, and competitive are just a few of the characteristics that come to mind when I hear Gigi’s name. She is all of those and so much more. Having worked closely with Gigi since she started has been an honor. She is thirsty for knowledge and hungry for yogurt with chia seeds during lunch. Her dedication is amazing and there have been many days after our trainings together that we would sit in the parking lot for 1-2 hours going over different scenarios and sharing best practices. Gigi has a great sense of humor and a warm demeanor that is contagious and you can’t help but smile when you are working with her.”
