AMPlified Success: Kayli Maucione

Meet Kayli Maucione, District Sales Manager – Michiana, and read about her career journey at AMP.

I started with AMP in May of 2023, right after graduating from Western Michigan University. Since starting a little over a year ago, I’ve grown through several different roles at AMP, all leading to my new home in Grand Rapids as the District Manager for Michiana! As someone who had no sales experience, implementing the AMP blueprint was completely new to me and there was a lot of time in the first couple of months that I questioned my abilities. No matter what, I always had the support of Luke Wasowski, Vice President of Sales for the Central Region, who continuously celebrated my accomplishments and never hesitated to give me opportunities that challenged me and pushed me to be the best version of myself in front of business owners and my team. A year and two months later, being in a position of leadership and management is surreal, but feels meant to be.

My first sale was so exhilarating. Most rookies make a sale with a trainer at the beginning of the week, but I had two days with trainers my first week and hadn’t made a sale on either of them. My very first sale was completely solo, helping out Four Roses Cafe in Plainwell, MI, with a Google Street View Trusted virtual tour. I remember being so nervous as I pushed to the close and when the business owner pulled out their credit card and thanked me, I realized that I did it. My manager at the time called me to celebrate, and then I made two more sales that evening! My favorite customer sales story is probably Boca Music in Marshall, MI. I wasn’t working in the town at the time, but got a lead and helped them discover a program that would work for them to help them get found online. About a year later, we got a glowing endorsement from the owner about how good of a job we’re doing for them. I remember just being SO happy that I’d helped them!!

My favorite part of working with AMP is the fact that every single person wants to help. The fact that local businesses get left behind when it comes to marketing is an unfortunate truth, and one I didn’t really realize until coming to work here. I’ve learned to appreciate every interaction I have, all the stories I get to hear on a daily basis, and the fact that I truly believe that our team will do our very best for our customers.

I’m very excited to continue to build up my team to be one of the strongest in AMP. We’re making our mark on the Central region, but I can see us going a lot further. I also pride myself on the culture and community within my team. I want to build a team that can rely on each other but also be self-sufficient, even without my immediate guidance. In other words, I don’t just want to be a boss, I want to be a team member, a mentor, and a support system too.

I’ve learned a lot in my time at AMP, but my biggest piece of advice to new reps is that you need to be comfortable being uncomfortable in this role. This can mean many things, but for my new team members it means that it’s okay to be nervous, but lean into it! One of the best ways to learn is by doing things that scare you, and being up to the challenge. My reps find comfort in the fact that I’ve had such rapid growth after starting from ground zero and excitement at the fact that they can do that too!

If you’re looking for a position that will push you out of your comfort zone, and has unlimited opportunities for growth, a top-notch work environment and culture, and performance based pay, you’ll be right at home at AMP!
