Job Summary:

Oversee the Sales Support Department including hiring, training and the ongoing development of all Sales Support staff.  Continue to lead a proactive, positive and sales focused department by upholding standards and best practices, identifying and resolving inefficiencies, and working with other office departments, sales leaders and reps.  Lead by example within the department by continuing to directly work with sales teams to support and drive sales.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Direct Sales Support Responsibilities

  • A sales support administrator provides administrative support to both Inside and Outside sales departments or teams.
  • Answering sales rep calls and questions
  • Creating lead lists
  • Outbound proactive calls to sales managers and reps: to reps to promote company-wide contests, follow up on trainings, and checking in with new sales hires.
  • Understanding company products and communicating with sales teams about changes and updates
  • Ensure accuracy in all shipped training materials for both Digital and Traditional virtual training classes
  • Understand and Create reports in CRM for managers and reps
  • Understand, create and maintain sales districts and recruiting maps

Sales Support Management

  • Proactively identify departmental inefficiencies and standards to mitigate or improve them.
  • Facilitate a proactive, rather than reactive approach among Sales Support staff, and an attitude of consistent helpfulness.
  • Personally resolve all non-standard, escalated “management” level sales support issues, data requests, and administrative matters.
  • Continue to develop staff in their roles and help them meet or exceed their goals and the company goals.
  • Hold daily meetings and periodic training sessions with the Sales Support Department.
  • Maintain and update sales support team systems and product training manual to reflect new products and processes
  • Hold weekly one-on-one status meetings with individuals on team.
  • Hire and Train all new employees.

Functional Demands:

  • Being able to work 40+ hours a week

  • The ability to multitask and quickly switch your focus.
  • Computer literacy, Data manipulation, IT skills, and typing skills.
  • Required Proficiency in MS office particularly in Excel and Word.
  • Maintain confidential or sensitive company information as appropriate.

Educational Requirements:

  • College degree required
