“My goal is to not be better than anyone else, but to be better than I used to be.” — Wayne Dyer
Connie joined AMP in March of 2017 as our first Corporate Training Manager. Like all AMP sales leadership, learning AMP sales fundamentals from the ground up, starting with her first canvass in Algonquin and Lake in the Hills before closing Dundee and Gilberts. Simultaneously, Connie began to lead classroom training and conduct field trainings. Within three months, Connie took over in-classroom training while maintaining personal field sales and field trainings across several AMP Markets from Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. in 2018, Connie played a key role in launching our CRM system and again in 2025 with our CRM revamp.
In 2020, Connie developed and led AMP’s virtual training model and spearheaded the launch of our online self-learning platform, AMP U. This platform, along with her virtual training programs, combines product training, sales techniques, and social learning to deliver a well-rounded learning experience for our digital sales associates. By blending field, virtual, and self-paced training, these programs maximize learning and growth. Connie is deeply passionate about the subject of andragogy and is always researching how adults learn best, applying proven learning models in both classroom sessions and online training to help every rep succeed.
Connie’s drive to keep trainees motivated begins with Connie herself. Connie paid her way through Illinois State University by running a small business as a traveling barber, cutting hair in dorm rooms across campus. Never one to shy away from making a sale or a dollar, Connie worked 3 summer jobs to graduate debt-free. After college, she put her degree in Sociology/Psychology to work at Cova Financial Services as Director of Human Resources, earning her PHR. After the company moved to Newport Beach, CA, Connie pivoted, earning certifications in HTML and Adobe Creative Suite for a new career path. She built her career as a freelance graphic designer and later a Creative Director, where she aided both locally owned and national corporations, with website development, branding and design. With her passion for fitness, in addition to design background, she cultivated a deep understanding of sales as a top sales distributor for a fitness and weight loss company.
Connie and her husband Tom love to travel, but her greatest joy is spending time with her family, her three sons, and the family’s three dogs.
