Since joining AMP on June 1, 2022, as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, Alex has quickly established himself as an invaluable asset to the Support Services Team. To be successful on the accounting team, a few qualities the person needs to have are high attention to detail, to be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, have good communication skills, and be able to multi-task. Alex possesses all of those and then some, and in 2024 he stepped up to accept additional responsibilities when the team went from a team of 2.5 full time employees that were solely responsible for everything A/R to being just him and his team lead. Alex didn’t shy away from stepping up, in fact he was excited to take on the additional responsibility.

3 Major Accomplishments from this year:

  • Point of Contact: Alex took on the responsibility of being the main point of contact when someone reaches out to Accounting. He answers the team’s emails and is first on the call rotation, answering any questions that our reps/customers have regarding their balances, payment plans, and processed payments.
  • Contract Vetting: Alex adjusted his daily schedule to take on the daily vetting of both print and digital contracts to ensure that all financial requirements are met to make the sale commissionable. This has allowed us to place contracts in hold faster which notifies the reps/account managers that there is an issue that needs to be rectified.
  • Cross Training: In addition to his already packed schedule, Alex learned how to run our print invoicing process, adding that to his list of monthly responsibilities. Alex also vets payment plans that are received, making sure that they are within the approved guidelines.

Alex has an outstanding work ethic and is always willing to take on a special project, in fact he excels at them, and because of his attention to detail he is the go-to person to find a discrepancy. He ensures that every task is completed which is key to a department that has tight deadlines to meet. Since joining the team, Alex has brought an infectious energy that has made a huge impact. His commitment to excellence makes him a true standout and completely deserving of being a finalist for Employee of the Year.
