Job Summary: Seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Network Operations to lead the team responsible for our network infrastructure, cloud migration initiatives, and enterprise collaboration platforms. This role will drive operational excellence, modernize our systems, and ensure the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of our IT environment with a cloud-first approach with a strong focus on the Microsoft 365 and Entra.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the roadmap for IT infrastructure modernization and cloud strategy.
- Lead and mentor the network operations team.
- Operational Excellence
- Promote a highly effective and customer service-oriented team.
- Establish and maintain 7×24 security operations.
- Ensure alignment with security and compliance standards.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
- Proactively and continuously seek to improve IT infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and the performance of key providers.
- Microsoft 365
- Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, PIM, Entra, and OneDrive.
- Manage, optimize and secure Microsoft O365 configuration.
- Implement Privileged Identity Management.
- Transition organization to the Microsoft Defender Suite.
- Migrate from on-premises Active Directory servers to Entra.
- Cloud Migration & Infrastructure
- Oversee the migration of on-premises workloads and services to the cloud.
- Integrate zero-trust networking principles into enterprise architecture.
- Oversee the performance, reliability, and security of the network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Remotely manage Windows workstations and a fleet of iPad devices in the field.
- Ensure organization’s data is protected and backed up appropriately.

Educational & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and network operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading cloud migrations.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft 365 architecture and administration including Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, and the Defender Suite.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
- Network security best practices.
- Identity management with both Active Directory and Entra along with leveraging MFA technologies.
- Demonstrated success as a player/coach, balancing strategic oversight with direct contribution.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor and inspire individuals while optimizing team-wide performance.

Wage:
