Laura joined American Marketing & Publishing after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Northern Illinois University. She was bartending at Buffalo Wild Wings when her roommate at the time had encouraged her to apply for a position. Laura initially interviewed for a data entry position, but her Manager quickly identified that Laura would be perfect for a leadership position in the department. Up until this point in her life, Laura had always had to work a minimum of 2 jobs to make ends meet, but this opportunity afforded her the ability to work only 1 job and came with a strong compensation and benefits package. Laura cites AMP’s corporate culture and how she communicates with all levels of management on a daily basis—a true Open Door policy—as two of the company’s characteristics she most appreciates. Outside of work, Laura loves reading and being active outdoors: canoeing, rock-climbing, camping, and snowboarding are amongst some of the activities she enjoys.
Director, Sales Support and Inside Digital Sales
Brandi joined American Marketing & Publishing in 2001 after attending a job fair at Northern Illinois University, where she was a graduate student. She was attracted to the sales opportunity, which had limitless income potential, and “every person I met seemed to share the same traits and strengths.” Learning the business from the sales field, Brandi sold through territories as a Renewal rep and was quickly promoted to a Closer position. After earning the honor of “Top Seller”, Brandi decided she wanted to pursue the opportunity to train others how to be successful in the sales field and moved into the role of a Classroom and Field Trainer. Two and one half years later, Brandi was ready for her next big opportunity as a District Manager, leading a team in the DuPage/Kane County markets overseeing over $4MM in top line revenue. In her current role, Brandi enjoys developing leaders and helping others “be the best they can be.” Brandi comes from a big family and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. The initial impression Brandi had of the company has been repeatedly reinforced over the years, “a very intelligent, well-run company with a hard-working culture that is intense and delivers on promotion from within.”
Customer Experience Manager
Amber joined American Marketing & Publishing in the fall of 2016 after working at a local Financial Institution for 5 years, concluding her career as their Support Service Manager. During her tenure there, she led her team to meet and exceed customer expectations and enhanced the depth of customer relationships. Amber worked collaboratively with her fellow managers to develop a team that provided cross-functional services to customers allowing a world-class experience for customers and a true relationship builder for the Financial Institution.
Amber was drawn to AMP by our mission to provide helpful and affordable technology-based marketing solutions to small business owners. While the solutions were primarily developed with small business owners in mind, the products have the capacity to be leveraged by businesses of all sizes, to make them more effective and productive.
Amber began her career at AMP as the Google Street View Manager, and within a few short months she was promoted to become the Customer Experience Manager overseeing and supporting the customer experience for both print and digital products. Amber enjoys the fast-paced environment and continual, positive evolution of the company. She especially values the collaborative teamwork atmosphere, which keeps her busy and challenged, each and every day. Outside of work, Amber enjoys her husband’s cooking and spending time with their daughter and puppy.
