Congratulations to Katie Yakos on her promotion to Schaumburg OPTIMA™ Retention Specialist!
Katie started with AMP in 2017 as an Associate Account Manager. She quickly demonstrated her ability to influence new prospects and was then promoted to Account Manager. In the AM role, Katie continued to evolve renewing at higher and higher rates, selling more new business and creating stronger relationships with her customers. She was next promoted to Senior Account Manager and took on more responsibility as a leader the office. Katie finished her first year, in 2017, as one of AMP’s Top New Ranked Rookies.
Over the last three years, Katie has finished each year in the AMP Top 50 and is a 3x Distinguished Sales Award Winner. She has earned Rep of the Region on multiple occasions and has a lot of AMP hardware to show it! In 2019, Katie finished second in inside sales, #13 in the company, and earned her first Presidential Achievement Award. She is excited to be headed to Cancun next month! In the Schaumburg office, Katie is viewed by her peers to be supportive, persistent and always willing to help. She is consistently the leader in activity and demonstrates the necessary behaviors of a successful inside sales star.
Katie is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Prior to joining AMP and after graduation, Katie worked for just under a year as an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator/Health Marketing Specialist for the Macoupin County Public Health Department. A year later, Katie decided to move to the Chicagoland area, which is located five hours from her hometown of Staunton, IL. Although Katie didn’t have any experience in sales, Hiring Manager Alex Hogan knew that she would be a good fit with her energetic and fun loving personality. Katie decided to take the leap of faith and has clearly proven to be a very successful sales person!
In Katie’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her large extended family and friends. Her teddy bear puppy, Charlie, is the love of her life and Katie prides herself on providing him the best dog life as possible! In 2019, Katie was able to travel to Galveston, Vegas, and Virginia. Katie has a busy travel year ahead of her again and will be headed to Cancun, Florida, California, and Nashville in the coming months.
In this newly created role, Katie will be working with current and past customers to help explain and develop OPTIMA™ services while helping with retention. This is a strategic role that will continue to drive a higher renewal rate and relationships with customers for years and years to come.
