Congratulations to Amanda Klein on her promotion to Operations Manager!
Many of you may have noticed Amanda taking on more and more operational related responsibilities in the recent months, and she has done an absolutely amazing job! Amanda’s incredible work ethic, her ‘can-do’ approach to everything she touches and positive attitude make her a perfect fit for this important AMP role. She views every new opportunity as a puzzle that requires solving … and she fearlessly digs-in, finds solutions and closes with great follow-up communication.
In the role of Operations Manager, Amanda’s primary responsibilities will include: third party vendor and inventory management, facilities management (both corporate and satellite offices) and travel/meeting coordination. Amanda was able to get an early jump on her facility management responsibilities and single-handedly transformed the landscaping at our corporate office … the grounds have never looked as good as they do today. I expect that this will be the new norm for everything Amanda touches … in some instances she will fix broken processes in need of repair and in other situations, she will enhance processes that are currently working, but have room for improvement. Her passion for streamlining, organizing and simplifying complex situations into manageable solutions is more than just a strength … for Amanda, it is a true art form.
Amanda is one of the first to arrive in the morning, welcoming employees and trainees to a new day, and is oftentimes one of the last people to leave as she locks up and prepares for the next new day. She greets each person with a warm smile and a sincere “have a great day”. She leaves you with the feeling that she cares, because she does, and that she is going to take care of whatever it is you need with precision and a sense of urgency.
Tiffany Mills, Director of Sales Support and Systems had this to say about Amanda when asked to comment on their 7 years of working together:
“Amanda is one of the most hard-working, dedicated people that I have ever worked with. I always knew that if I needed something done fast and accurate, I could count on her. Amanda was never one to settle and was always working on the next new idea or how to improve an existing process. It was so amazing to watch Amanda grow both professionally and personally. While we are sad to see Amanda leave the Sales Support department, we knew that she would do an amazing job in her new role.”
Amanda began her career with AMP in January 2013 as a Sales Support Specialist, assisting our hard-charging field sales force with finding answers to questions on accounts, preparing and sending materials (back when materials were on paper), and performing a multitude of administrative responsibilities. In February 2018, Amanda was promoted into the role of Sales Support Coordinator. In this role, Amanda was also responsible for her Sales Support Specialist duties as well as all sales class related tasks … collecting sales town information, start dates, etc.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, Nick exploring forest preserves/parks with their adorable dog Junior, and working on the next home project for the year. She is happy dreaming of tropical vacations, finding deals at her favorite stores, reading mystery novels and baking up a storm.
