Christian Houston Promoted to Digital District Manager for the South Tennessee Digital District

Congratulations to Christian Houston on her promotion to Digital District Manager for the South Tennessee Digital District!

Christian was hired at the beginning of May and has spent the last three months in the sales field selling our Digital products. This was vital for Christian not to only learn our business and products, but to fully understand what the good sales days feel like in the sales field and the not good sales days. Being a highly effective District Manager means delivering strong first day start days in the field with new hires, as well as training days with all members of the sales team. She experienced both ends of the spectrum after spending her first week in Iowa selling shoulder to shoulder with veteran leaders, then the last nearly three months in the Murfreesboro,TN area– which is just south of Nashville.

Christian will lead a district that will run down the Interstate 65 corridor- from the northern part of Nashville, all the way south in Tennessee to Huntsville, Alabama. This particular area once had a strong AMP presence when Jamie Heymann was the Digital District Manager down there (she’s been gone from there for three years), so we are excited to have a presence there again. The presence of Christian in our South Tennessee district, coupled with the strong Digital sales team lead by DM Joy Cordle in the Northern Tennessee district (north of Nashville and into southern Kentucky), will very soon create a state producing in excess of $150,000 monthly in Digital sales and even larger expectations in 2022.

Christian came to AMP with great and varied experience in the sales world. She formerly was an account executive for L “Oreal as well as Dillards — managing, training, hiring, and promoting in 40 different stores in her territory there. She’s also sold ads at Gannett, which owns the Tennessean, Daily News Journal, and USA Today newspapers. While there, she earned several President awards for achieving goals. Christian worked at one time for Konica Minolta, selling production and large formal equipment, before she she took over two separate magazines as owner/publisher. She sold over $1 million in revenue in just months after purchasing.

Anyone whose already met Christian can attest to the fact she has a dynamic personality– always smiling and always optimistic. Her energy and positivity will attract quality hires to her team.

On a personal level, Christian is originally from Germantown,TN  and is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. She also enjoys areal photography and loved the Cessna planes. Christian’s only child, Jack, attends the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and earning a scholarship in coding, after raising him as a single mother for years.

Congratulations, Christian, on this well-deserved promotion!
