Congratulations to Brook Girkin on his promotion to Marketing Videographer!

Since joining AMP in September of 2018 Brook has worked as a GSV photo editor, though his talent as a video editor caused him to be in high demand for multiple departments. He was frequently on loan to the marketing department where he produced some of our greatest hits like the Meet You Interviewer videos, AMP Welcome video, and of course our annual company meeting blooper reel. (Now you know who to blame!)  He was also instrumental in consulting on process and in creating templates for our AMP video product.  In the newly created role of Marketing Videographer, Brook will transition full time into video creation and development for the marketing and training departments.

Hailing originally from the great state of Iowa, Brook graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic media: Video Production and a minor in Digital Advertising.  In his pre-AMP life, he worked as a campus and collegiate athletics videographer, in addition to being an office manager and night attendant for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Outside of work Brook enjoys watching movies, playing video games, visiting breweries and trying new craft beers, playing board and card games, listening to podcasts, rooting for the Vikings, Hawkeyes, Cubs, and Twins, visiting family (especially his 11-year-old brother), and hanging with cat Arya, girlfriend Bre and her dog Hudson.

As AMP significantly ramps up our video training courses and refreshes our websites and social media presence, Brook’s creativity, attention to detail and unflappable demeanor make him a perfect fit for this role.
