Congratulations to Jessica Arends on her promotion to Marketing Assistant!
In her new role, Jessica will be using her creativity and communication skills to increase customer outreach and continue supporting sales reps through providing customer examples, custom sales proposals, sales training, and much more. Jessica will be working to keep AMP’s websites and social media up to date while also bringing exciting customer and employee success stories to light through our AMP Corporate Blog. Jessica brings with her a unique skill set and background that made her a great fit to join the Marketing Team. In 2020, she graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. At NIU, Jessica created and hosted the “Community Conversations” panel which invited faculty members to discuss a variety of themes centered around current events and the plays put on by the department. Jessica also co-authored a witty astrological newsletter to help NIU students navigate the semester with personalized advice for each zodiac sign.
Jessica started with AMP in January of 2021 as an Accounting Assistant (after a brief stint in Inside Sales!) and quickly became a powerhouse of knowledge despite having no background in accounting. She has always been known for her thoughtful communication, timely help, and fun humor that can alleviate any situation. After a successful 2021, Jessica was promoted to an Accounts Receivable Specialist in December where her responsibilities grew to include speaking with customers and sales reps, filing financial paperwork, and assisting with training others in the department. At our Annual Company Meeting in January 2022, Jessica was awarded Employee of the Year for Shared Services! Jessica was nominated for her willingness to take on new projects, step out of her comfort zone, and be a team player. She says this was a total surprise and one of her proudest accomplishments.
In her spare time, Jessica loves to write poetry and attend live poetry readings. She’s a self-taught ukulele player and will often teach herself a new song just for fun! She’s a proud plant mom and enjoys astrology, tarot readings, dramatic TV shows, and painting. When she’s not flexing her creativity, she’s spending time with her family, friends, and many nieces and nephews. We’re incredibly excited to have Jessica bring her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and unique perspective to the Marketing Team.
