Congratulations to Simone White on her promotion to Senior Hiring Manager!
Simone started with AMP in June of 2022 with our Hiring Manager team. She has quickly become a trusted voice on the team, and a great ambassador to our future sales force. She loves the fact that through her work she gets to learn about different perspectives and people’s experiences, while hearing their individual stories with how life connects with their work. She builds connections seamlessly through her interactions with candidates and her passion for making a difference is evident even through a phone call.
Simone attended Central Michigan, then transferred to be closer to family, and received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Science, Concentration in Health Diversity with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was involved in many programs during her time in school that advocated for inclusivity, peer engagement in the community, and prison reform. She volunteered at a local correctional facility where she helped facilitate a Communications course to inmates and campaigned for education resources to be provided. Simone also spent over 2 years at Walgreens where she worked as a beauty consultant taking care of customers in a fast paced environment while finishing her college degree.
Simone was looking to make the leap into something new that would give her the ability to impact the direction an individual was going in their work and their total perspective on what is possible for them. With a strong passion for diversity and inclusion, she wanted a role that involved her being able to show value in a person while providing a great opportunity. She loved that AMP’s culture fit her own values and was excited to make the leap into our Associate Hiring Manager role. As a big supporter of community and the relationships you build there, our mission gave Simone the perfect platform to make a difference. She is so adept at connecting with our candidates, that most of the time they forget they are being interviewed! Her work ethic is incredible and she can often be seen working later than anyone else on the team as her relentless spirit pushes her to reach out to one more person!
Family is incredibly important to Simone and she is supported by a great and loving family, including her parents and two siblings. Born in Louisiana, and then growing up in the Orland Park area of Chicago, she currently lives in Tempe, AZ where the winter weather is more like a warm spring day in the Midwest! She has loved exploring the city and taking her dog London on these new adventures. It was a big change for her, but one she embraced with her usual positivity and great outlook! We are incredibly proud that Simone has become a part of our AMP Family!
