Congratulations to Eric Sauld on his promotion to District Manager for Fox Valley!
Before joining AMP, Eric ran several Family Video stores as a District Manager, but due to the change in the industry, he was left to look for another opportunity in sales. What very few at AMP probably know about Eric, during this time he was also making a name for himself as a rapper working weekends and evenings dropping his beats on stage. Shortly after leaving Family Video, he worked as a Customer Service/Sales Rep at J.J Keller (selling compliance products) working in inside sales. Although he excelled at the work, he didn’t feel passion for compliance products so he continued his career search and we are lucky he did! Eric joined AMP in September of 2019 assigned to his first market of Green Bay, WI.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking with Eric, or if you’ve joined the Morning Success Calls or regional Zoom meetings, you’ve likely noticed his deep passion for small businesses. Eric’s roots trace back to Upper Michigan, where he grew up in a lively, blended family. As a child, he worked at his mother and stepfather’s small-town diner, witnessing firsthand the dedication and challenges that come with running a business. Despite their hard work and delicious food, the diner eventually closed its doors. This experience gave Eric a personal understanding of the struggles small business owners face, and it drives his commitment to supporting local merchants in every interaction.
Eric’s evolution in digital had him joining the ranks of our highly skilled and influential Mentorship Team. By the end of 2019, he was already playing a key role in first-day training starts. With a relentless drive to improve each week, Eric wrapped up his first major project in Green Bay, WI, by year’s end. November 2019 marked a milestone for him, as he achieved his personal best with 18 GSV sales.
Over the past 5 years, Eric has continued to evolve as a mentor and salesperson. Despite being off for a few months in 2020, he finished the year as the Digital Rep of the Region. He finished the last quarter of 2020 averaging over $15k in sales with 8 OPTIMA™/Text per month which was $11,716 in OPTIMA™/Text per month. He was promoted to a Market Expansion Specialist in 2021 and spent three years in this role training and mentoring throughout the state of Wisconsin. He finished 2023 averaging $16k per month closing $10,317 in OPTIMA™/Text, $2,187 GSV and $2,181 in video sales finishing #18 overall among digital leaders. This year, he was promoted to Assistant District Manager and led his team to a record-breaking $75,794 in total sales in September. As an ADM, he averaged $12,828 in sales with $9,117 in OPTIMA™/Text, $3,123 in GSV and $511 in Video sales a month and continued to play a big part in the development and growth of building a team.
AMP’s 2023 Rookie of the Year, Brittany Vial shared her sentiments on Eric’s recent promotion. “Eric has been my main mentor since the start of my career here at AMP. He has truly pushed me in every way possible to be the best version of myself, so before I say why this promotion is so deserved, I first want to say thank you. Not only for leading by example but also for helping the team become their examples of success. From setting me up with great verbiage from the jump to giving me self-motivating quips like “You don’t know until you go,” I’ve looked up to that and it has helped me thrive thus far. Eric is known in our region as the analogy guy, the guy that catches whales of sales, and talks a million miles an hour. I have grown to know him as the guy that “makes it happen.” He works hard for himself which is why he has come this far but he works even harder for others and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support, encouragement, and sharp mindset he gives off! Your team members can’t thank you enough for the time, effort, and help you give us on any given day. You deserve this promotion and I’m so proud of the work you put in to make it happen!”
Outside of work, Eric spends a lot of his free time with his family – wife Amadiris, and his daughters, Mila and Alessi. He’s a social being and enjoys spending time smoking meat and hosting BBQ’s for his friends and family in the Appleton, WI area. He’s passionate about sports and is an avid runner. When he’s not watching sports or hosting family, he’s the ultimate girl dad spectating at dance competitions and other extracurricular events for his older daughter, Mila. Each year, Eric and his family enjoy the tradition of joining Team AMP at the DeKalb Corn Classic.
Congratulations, Eric, on this well-deserved promotion!
