On Sunday September 28th, 2019 59 members of the AMP family suited up for the 39th Annual DeKalb Corn Classic 10K & 5K Run/Walk. AMP sponsored this local event that begins and ends in Downtown DeKalb, the route takes runners through historical neighborhoods, along the Kishwaukee River via Prairie Park, through NIU’s campus and Huskie Stadium and ending in Van Buer Plaza with a post-race Celebration! There was even entertainment along the course includes the Black Tie Jazz Trio, Huskie Marching Band, NIU Jazztet and Steelband!
The rain and cold was no match for AMP’s Legion of Champions as each person crossed the finish line accomplishing their personal race goal when they registered for this event just 3 months prior. It was a day filled with fun and many people achieving something they never thought possible….followed by a slow-moving Monday.
